Sadiki Metals is one of the known manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality aluminium products in Kinshasa, Congo , manufacturing high-quality Aluminium 6061 Forgings. With a vision of producing unique-level cost-efficient products, high-quality precision-engineered aluminium forgings are manufactured in compliance with both industry-established ratings and buyer-specified parameters. Aluminium 6061 is characterized by extensive versatilities of high strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent machinability. That is why a number of aerospace, automotive, and structural industries find applications in it. Timely delivery of quality forgings with a stable reputation-and on the base, with customer satisfaction, Sadiki Metals deals with the requirements of various industries right from Kinshasa and beyond.
Aluminium 6061 forging is an alloy primarily composed of 97.9-99.6% aluminium, 0.8-1.2% magnesium, 0.4-0.8% silicon, 0.15% copper, 0.25% chromium, and traces of manganese, iron, and titanium. The high strength-to-weight ratio and good corrosion resistance rate of this alloy make it suitable for the aerospace as well as structural applications. The mechanical strength properties consist of 290-350 MPa tensile strength and 240-280 MPa yield strength, 12-17% elongation, as well as hardness of 95-105 HB. It possesses a good weldability and machinability, thus providing an outlet to apply the same in multiple types of industry.

Aluminum 6061 offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, machinability, weldability, and thermal conductivity, making it ideal for custom forgings in aerospace, automotive, and structural applications.
Aluminum 6061 is not ideal for high-temperature forging due to its lower melting point and limited high-temperature strength. It is better suited for structural applications, not extreme heat environments.
Aluminum 6061's workability allows for easier forging, as it has good formability, high strength, and excellent machinability. It requires careful temperature control to avoid cracking during the forging process.
Aluminum 6061 forgings have been widely used in many fields because of its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. Some of the common applications are in aerospace components, for example, aircraft frames and landing gear, suspension components and wheels in automobiles, and marine structures for their long-lasting durability in saltwater environments. Forgings are used in structural applications such as bridges and buildings, and in high-performance machinery and equipment manufacturing. 6061 is also used for the manufacture of bicycle frames, pipelines, and military vehicles where strength, lightness, and resistance to wear are a must.
